Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting with the appointment of a Senior-Principal Mechanical Engineer (DOE), to work for a leading company who specialise in the design and engineering across the international oil and gas industry. You will be responsible for the design of tanks and vessels, supervising/line managing other engineers and the drafting team, and providing technical expertise for projects across the department. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Provide technical support for Oil, Gas and LNG projects across the department and externally, coordinating efficiently with sub-contractors and vendors. * Design of tanks and vessels to correct codes and standards (including international standards), * Production and checking of all design documentation. * Provide technical input to FEED, feasibility and other studies. * Lead mechanical engineering design activities * Supervise/manage the mechanical team in producing designs, drawings and other deliverable to standard and on-time. * Manage resources, costs and deadlines to meet project objectives. * Ensure all codes/standards and procedures are always followed. * Check and validate calculations, reports, data sheets, specifications and vendor supplied documentation. * Contribute towards the continuous improvement with the Mechanical Section and deputise when required. * Carry out engineering analysis, calculations and procedural…
