Lead E&I Engineer\\n\\nNewcastle Upon Tyne\\n\\nSalary: up to £65,000 basic + benefits\\n\\nJackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading engineering consultancy to bring a Lead E&I Engineer to take ownership of Electrical & Instrumentation delivery across complex engineering projects.\\n\\nThis is a permanent, full time on site role based in Newcastle.\\n\\nLead E&i Engineer Key Responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Lead the delivery of the E&I scope to agreed time, cost, and quality targets\\n\\n * \\n\\n Provide technical and people leadership to E&I engineers and designers\\n\\n * \\n\\n Own E&I engineering schedules, deliverables, and progress reporting\\n\\n * \\n\\n Manage E&I manhour budgets, resourcing levels, and workload planning\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ensure all E&I designs comply with legislation, industry standards, and client specifications\\n\\n * \\n\\n Control and manage scope change in line with formal change management procedures\\n\\n * \\n\\n Maintain technical integrity and accuracy across all E&I deliverables\\n\\n * \\n\\n Participate in and contribute to HAZID, HAZOP, safety, and design reviews\\n\\n * \\n\\n Provide guidance on hazardous area installations, including ATEX compliance\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ensure all documentation is checked and approved in line with company procedures\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support tendering activities, including scope definition and CTR generation\\n\\n * \\n\\n Coach and develop Engineers, Graduates, and Trainees within the discipline\\n\\nLead E&I Engineer Key Requirements:\\n\\n * \\n\\n HNC or higher in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering\\n\\n * \\n\\n Significant experience delivering E&I engineering on Oil & Gas brownfield projects (Feasibility, Concept, FEED, EPC)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Proven experience leading E&I engineering teams on projects\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and legislation\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience with manhour control, cost awareness, and change management\\n\\n * \\n\\n Solid understanding of hazardous area design and ATEX directives\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience contributing to HAZOP, HAZID, and constructability reviews\\n\\n * \\n\\n Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong commercial awareness and ability to operate at project leadership level\\n\\nDesirable\\n\\n * \\n\\n Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering\\n\\n * \\n\\n Chartered status (CEng / MIET)\\n\\n * \\n\\n SIL experience\\n\\n * \\n\\n Offshore experience and/or offshore survey exposure\\n\\n * \\n\\n BOSIET certification\\n\\nIf you are interested in this opportunity please contact Eleni at (phone number removed)
