Mechanical Fitter

Jackson Hogg is delighted to support our longstanding client in their search for a permanent mechanical fitter for their new hydrogen fuel station based in High Marnham.

They are seeking to appoint an experienced mechanical fitter to join their maintenance team, which will be integral to the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrolyzers.

This is a standalone role, with an opportunity to develop and build your own workshop in a brand new facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and maintenance of hydrogen compressors, pistons, and electrolyzers.
2. Quality Control: Ensure all work meets industry standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs performed to support construction technical files and ensure compliance with PED Directive.
4. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on small bore tubing systems to ensure proper functioning.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Mechanical engineering qualifications
• Previous experience working with high-pressure gases or hydrogen compressors
• Strong technical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools
• CSCS Card
