We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, coordinate and improve manufacturing activities across internal teams and external suppliers. Working closely with Design, Manufacturing and Project teams, you will define efficient processes, estimate costs and ensure quality, lead time and traceability targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing methods, workflows and SOPs
- Carry out contract reviews and ensure specifications are achievable
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Estimate production costs and support project decisions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and manage sub-tier suppliers
- Specify materials, tooling and methods of manufacture
- Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives
- Support customer and supplier meetings as required
Experience & Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering role
- Strong drawing interpretation and specification review skills
- Cost estimation and production planning experience
- Supplier and customer-facing experience
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- IT literate (Microsoft Office, CAD) with strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- Engineering or Manufacturing Degree, HNC/ONC, or qualified by experience
