An established organisation operating within a stable, essential industrial environment is seeking an experienced Facilities Planner to join their site‐based maintenance team. This is a brand new role following an internal promotion.

This position would suit an experienced planner with strong facilities or maintenance planning experience in heavy, regulated, or operational environments such as industrial sites, utilities, manufacturing, hospitals, or large estates.

The Role

As Facilities Planner, you will take ownership of the day‐to‐day coordination and planning of facilities and maintenance activities across a busy operational site. You will work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, and site stakeholders to ensure work is planned, resourced, and delivered safely and efficiently.

  • Planning and scheduling planned and reactive facilities maintenance
  • Developing and maintaining job plans, work packs, and schedules
  • Coordinating internal teams and external contractors
  • Managing permits, access requirements, and site constraints
  • Supporting compliance with H&S, statutory inspections, and site standards
  • Updating and maintaining CMMS / maintenance systems
  • Working closely with supervisors and engineers to optimise workload and resources

This is a hands‐on planning role, focused on coordination, visibility on site, and practical delivery.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven facilities or maintenance planning experience, rather than candidates stepping up from an operative role.

  • Experience as a Facilities Planner, Maintenance Planner, or Works Planner
  • Background in facilities, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, utilities, or large estates
  • Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance
  • Experience working with CMMS systems
  • Confident communication skills and ability to work across site teams
  • A practical, organised, and detail‐focused approach

Please note: This role is not suitable for facilities operatives or technicians looking to move into planning for the first time.

What's On Offer
  • Secure, long‐term role within a stable organisation
  • Site‐based position with clear ownership and responsibility
  • Supportive team environment following a positive internal restructure
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
