Senior Buyer 12-month, fixed-term contract Hull Job Reference: 16919 Jackson Hogg Procurement division are partnering with an established organisation in Hull on the appointment of a Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team, on a 12-month, fixed-term contract basis covering a period of maternity leave. Salary on offer is £35-50k depending on experience and comes with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. As Senior Buyer, you will ensure goods and services are procured at the best possible price and quality, and that they meet the needs and provide the most efficient support possible. You will also be responsible for the management and development contracts for goods and services. The Role * Manage all procurement activities. * Contract development, including terms & conditions, structure, strategy and cross-site initiatives * Appropriate contract management, including identification of supply chain efficiencies and supplier performance issues. * Provide ongoing management of contracts in liaison with nominated technical representatives and other internal customers * Project and Capex purchasing support, including selection of appropriate contracting styles. * Assist with the management of the invitation to tender process. * Contributing to the on-going development of and compliance with the procurement policy, procedures and systems. * Coordinate and manage any client and/or supplier related audits. * Liaise with the relevant departments in the pre-qualification of all suppliers. * Support in relation to compliance with legal and finance functions. The Person/Requirements * Fully qualified member of CIPS, or working towards * Contract development & administration including terms and conditions, structure, strategy, performance monitoring, and problem resolution. * Contract management including identification of supply chain efficiencies & performance issues * Experience liaising with technical representatives. * Project & Capex purchasing support experience * Management/admin of invitation to tender processes experience * Experience with procurement systems * Experience of working to procedures As this is a contract role, we are looking for someone with no notice period or a short notice of 1-2 weeks.
