Jackson Hogg is recruiting for an Inventory & Logistics Manager to join a confidential client on an exciting, large-scale sustainable development in the Tees Valley.
Role Purpose
The Inventory & Logistics Manager will play a key role in setting up and managing stores, inventory systems, and logistics processes, ensuring efficient stock control and timely delivery of materials. This is a hands-on role for a self-sufficient manager capable of leading the setup of a new state-of-the-art facility and implementing robust inventory and warehouse systems.
Key Duties
- Establish and maintain stock control processes and accurate inventory records.
- Manage deliveries, ensuring all incoming and outgoing goods are booked in and dispatched on time via hauliers.
- Set up and manage warehouse and stores systems, including processes for goods-in, storage, and stock rotation.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through audits and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and internal teams to guarantee stock availability and operational efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve stock or delivery discrepancies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across stores and inventory management.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurate and timely recording of all stock movements.
- Effective setup and management of stores and inventory systems.
- Zero discrepancies in stock reporting.
- Delivery of process improvements that enhance efficiency.
- Strong collaboration across logistics and operational teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in inventory and logistics management, ideally in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP software.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing deliveries and warehouse operations.
