Jackson Hogg are currently recruiting for a Robot Welder to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing operative with robotic welding experience to secure a long-term role with excellent benefits and a clear pathway to permanent employment.
Following an initial induction and training period on dayshift, successful candidates will move onto a 2-shift rotation, earning £15.25 per hour.
The Role
Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment, ensuring components are manufactured to the required quality standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor robotic welding machinery
- Load and unload components into welding fixtures
- Remove weld spatter during machine cycle times
- Carry out visual inspections of completed welds and components
- Read and interpret standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Work from engineering drawings and job specifications
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards and customer requirements
- Report defects, faults or quality concerns promptly
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs and technical drawings
- Experience using manual power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours of Work
Two Shift Rotation (20% Shift Premium)
Week 1 - Early Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
- Friday: 6:00am - 12:30pm
Week 2 - Back Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
- Friday: 12:30pm - 7:00pm
Average 38.5 hours per week. Please note there is the potential for the business to move to a 3-shift pattern in the future following consultation.
