Jackson Hogg are currently recruiting for a Goods Out FLT Driver to join a busy manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift driver with dispatch, logistics or warehouse experience looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent benefits and a clear route to permanent employment.

Following a day one induction on dayshift, successful candidates will move onto a 2-shift rotation, earning £15.25 per hour.

The Role

Working within the logistics department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage and dispatch of finished goods, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift truck within a manufacturing environment
  • Pick, stage and prepare customer orders for dispatch
  • Load and unload vehicles in line with company procedures
  • Ensure goods are correctly identified, labelled and packaged
  • Carry out stock movements and inventory transactions where required
  • Perform pre-use FLT checks and report any defects
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation
  • Ensure safe loading practices are followed at all times
  • Support production and warehouse operations when required
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety

Requirements

Essential

  • Valid FLT licence/certification
  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of dispatch and loading procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements

Hours of Work

Two Shift Rotation (20% Shift Premium)

Week 1 - Early Shift

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm

Week 2 - Back Shift

  • Monday to Thursday: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
  • Friday: 12:30pm – 7:00pm

Average 38.5 hours per week. Please note there is potential for the business to move to a 3-shift pattern in the future following consultation.

Pay & Benefits

  • £15.25 per hour
  • Overtime paid at:
    • Time and a Half Monday to Saturday
    • Double Time on Sundays
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (paid hourly)
