A highly regarded engineering consultancy near Newcastle is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its growing team. Established for over four years, the company has a strong presence within the industry, with an annual turnover of approximately £1.7 million and a workforce of around 25 employees. The firm offers a wide array of services, including civil and structural engineering, geo-environmental engineering, and principal designer services. Its work spans across residential, commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors, with a remarkable 80% of its business stemming from repeat clients, attesting to its reputation for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to a wide variety of projects, including structural inspections, new builds for bakery clients across multiple UK locations, and significant infrastructure developments, such as those for Teesside Airport.
  • Engaging in large-scale commercial developments for major clients including McDonald's and Tesco.
  • Supporting industry-leading frameworks such as NEPO, Construction Line, and bespoke agreements with various organisations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An HNC qualification or higher in a relevant field (chartered status is not a requirement).
  • Proven experience in delivering residential, commercial, or industrial projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in key engineering software, including likes of AutoCAD, Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, PDS Flow, and LiveDesign.
