CAD/CAM Engineer An established North East manufacturer is looking to recruit a CAD/CAM Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in sheet metal, fabrication or manufacturing engineering who enjoys working closely with production and seeing projects through from concept to manufacture. The role will involve producing engineering drawings, developing manufacturing information, creating CNC programmes and supporting the shop floor to ensure products are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities * Produce 2D and 3D engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation * Generate CNC programmes and production packs * Support production teams with technical and manufacturing queries * Manage BOMs and engineering data * Liaise with internal stakeholders to support project delivery * Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency * Support new and existing products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle About You * Experience within a manufacturing, fabrication or sheet metal environment * Strong CAD/CAM background * Ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings * Experience creating manufacturing documentation and production packs * Knowledge of CNC machinery and manufacturing processes * Comfortable working closely with production and engineering teams * Strong problem-solving and communication skills Desirable * RADAN experience * AutoCAD or Inventor experience * Experience with punch, laser or sheet metal manufacturing equipment * Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience If your looking for a varied position with a successful and growing manufacturer where they can make a genuine impact on production and engineering operations
