Warehouse Operatives – Temporary to Permanent
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay: £12.62 per hour (Days) | £13.87 per hour (Backs)
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential to go permanent)
Jackson Hogg is proud to be working in partnership with a leading Middlesbrough-based steel supplier and stockholder, renowned for servicing clients across the UK and beyond. Due to sustained growth and continued high demand, our client is looking to expand their team with several Warehouse Operatives on an initial temporary basis, with the strong potential to become permanent.
What’s on Offer:
- Overtime available:
- Time and a half after 40 hours and on Saturdays
- Double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate bandsaws to size and cut steel products to customer specifications
- Use overhead cranes and FLT to move stock
- Assist with vehicle loading/unloading
- Redistribute materials throughout the warehouse
- Operate handheld scanners to manage stock
Experience & Requirements:
- Previous experience using a bandsaw is essential
- FLT and overhead crane experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently and hit tonnage-based targets
