Leading-edge technology company in Edinburgh is looking for a Product Quality & Reliability Engineer to develop reliability plans and tests to ensure that our products comply with relevant industry standards and customer requirements. The engineer will manage subcontract partners to ensure that reliability stresses are executed correctly and within project timelines and budget. The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of product reliability, from pre-qualification of prototype material to ongoing reliability testing in mass production.
Duties:
- Work closely with Design, Test and Product Engineering to identify product and process risks
- Develop pre-qualification and full qualification plans for each product development
- Ensure that each product reliability budget is correct with respect to timescales and cost
- Manage 3rd party reliability test vendors
- Manage customer returns
- Work closely with Product Engineering to determine containment and corrective action measures
- Develop and maintain cost of poor-quality metrics (COPQ)
- Responsible for reliability modelling and prediction, fault tree analysis
Requirements:
- Must be at least a BEng Electronics or Electrical engineering graduate (or similar applicable field)
- Relevant experience in semiconductor reliability testing, automotive, mixed signal, Flash and RF
- Experienced with IC reliability stress methods
- Knowledge of entire Semiconductor Fabrication, assembly, test, and Q&R flow
- Knowledge of automotive and industrial IC reliability standards
