We are now recruiting for a
Technology Site Agent in our Highways Division working on Highways schemes working on all elements of highways works.
Ideally you will be located close to the M11.
Due to the nature of the role, there will be an expectation for some ad hoc visits to site at night.
Main Duties
- Manage subcontractors in line with company procedures.
- Prepare, review and brief method statements and risk assessments.
- Oversee project management plans, programmes and delivery schedules.
- Monitor project costs, budgets and financial reporting.
- Coordinate design activities to ensure practical and efficient solutions.
- Manage project risks and maintain contractual compliance.
- Ensure contracts are delivered safely on time and profitably.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with third parties and relevant authorities as required.
- Apply electrical engineering knowledge, including cable sizing, voltage drop and system design.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including BS7671.
- Support the design and delivery of highway technology and smart lighting schemes.
- Understand and apply smart motorway and highway technology systems (e. g. NRTS, MS1, AMI and ESS).
- Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and keep up to date with industry standards and legislation.
- Proven project management experience within electrical engineering, highways technology, or smart lighting projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, including cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and system design.
- Working knowledge of BS7671 and relevant industry standards and legislation.
- Experience managing subcontractors, project programmes, budgets, and project risks.
- Ability to prepare and review method statements and risk assessments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience liaising with clients, authorities, and third parties.
- Understanding of highway technology and smart motorway systems, including NRTS, MS1, AMI, and ESS.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
