This role will be both office and home working along with travelling to various sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential. The main office you will be working out of will be Ipswich, Head Office.
Main Duties for the Environmental Manager:
- Support development of the environmental strategy for the business
- Lead on the delivery of the environmental and sustainability objectives.
- Lead on environmental data management, analysis and reporting including energy and carbon reporting
- Ensure business compliance with environmental legislation and regulations across a range of projects
- Support projects and provide environmental advice with regard to design, legal compliance and construction
- Lead audits and inspections working around ISO 14001 and PAS 2080.
- Look for opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training where required
- Act as a point of contact for environmental matters with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators
The ideal candidate for the Environmental Manager will be able to demonstrate environmental experience, ideally within the construction, utilities, infrastructure, civil engineering, or related sector. A professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM) as well as knowledge and experience of the following are preferable but not essential:
- Environment assessment and impact management
- SECR
- PAS 2080
- ESOS
- PPN06/21
- Science based targets initiative
