We are currently recruiting for a Caretaker/Site Agent to join a school situated just outside of Leighton Buzzard. This position will require ALL candidates to have experience in maintenance duties and MUST have a full UK driving licence. Working Hours & Holiday: 37 hours per week on a rota system to include some weekends and evenings to cover lettings, 52 weeks per year with 22 days leave entitlement, rising to 27 days after 5 years. Job Role: To work as a team member to provide appropriate support for the delivery of security and maintenance across multiple school sites as required. Duties and Responsibilities: Security of premises – To be a school keyholder and to be responsible for the routine and non- routine (emergencies) opening and closing of the school site. Operate and regularly check systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security including CCTV and alarm systems as required by the Site and Facilities Manager. To ensure that the heating plant and electrical systems are functional and maintained in accordance with the instructions given. Monitoring and supporting the cleaning of the school premises in accordance with the approved specification. Including detailed monitoring of the contractor’s performance.
