We are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef who is ready for a new challenge, joining a growing and well respected restaurant!

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to step-up, and seek chef/kitchen management duties.

Location

Outskirts of Luton - transport required.

Working Hours

09:00am to 15:00pm, working 30-hours a week, across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Flexibility is a key requirement for this role, with the ability to work extra hours if/when needed.

Contract Type

Perm.

Duties

  • Overseeing the kitchen with all preparation of service. Ensuring execution of fantastic meals, inline with pre-existing standards.
  • Planning and directing food preparation and presentation of culinary dishes to a high standard.
  • To monitor stock movement and ensure stock security.
  • To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
  • To assist with the provision of training and development for department staff.
  • Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation throughout the department.
  • Support with menu development.
  • Assisting with stock ordering.
  • Supporting with client engagement, when needed.

Requirements

  • Experienced in cooking fresh and prepared food.
  • Good knowledge of allergens.
  • Strong working ethics – quick and efficient whilst delivering well-presented dishes.
  • Good communicator able to manage two lovely dedicated kitchen porters.
  • Dedicated to cleanliness and a hygiene standard (kitchen and all equipment).
  • Able to working alone and with our Head Chef (candidate will be given training from get-go).
