Manufacturing Engineer Witney, Oxfordshire £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum + £5,000 Bonus + Excellent Benefits! (See Below) We at JKR are supporting a well-established UK manufacturer with a strong international presence, designing, developing and manufacturing a wide range of innovative products!
We are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design, manage and implement new factory production processes, while driving continuous improvement across quality, efficiency and cost.
The role will have a strong focus on manufacturing automation, process optimisation, new product introduction and the design and implementation of production equipment.

- Plan and manage new product introduction into manufacturing, including factory design and capital equipment procurement
- Optimise manufacturing processes through tooling design, machine design and build, and automation programming
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to deliver high-efficiency production and ensure output targets are achieved
- Take responsibility for the TPM plan for production equipment
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities using Kaizen and 5S principles
- Design quality into production processes through DFM and automated inspection systems
- Use SPC to monitor manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with required quality standards and procedures
- Work closely with Design and Quality teams to maintain accurate process and procedure documentation
- Lead cost and value improvement activities, including evaluating investment in capital equipment
- Ensure new factory installations and processes meet relevant CE and health & safety requirements The Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Proven experience within a Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or production support role
- Ideally experience within high-volume manufacturing involving complex products
- Strong experience working with manufacturing automation
- Experience programming CNC machine tools, PLC systems or industrial robots
- Ability to create engineering designs using CAD
- Proven experience delivering continuous improvement, process improvement or part improvement activities Manufacturing Engineer Desirable Experience:
- Experience designing and implementing a factory or production line
- ERP systems experience, including Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Practical involvement within an NPI process or team
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems / ISO 9001 Manufacturing Engineer Benefits & Working Hours:
- 9am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm Fridays. Flexible working by prior agreement with management, with core hours of 10am-4pm on all five days, 34.5 hours total per week
