As Electromechanical Technician, you will work alongside our client’s design engineers, assisting with assembly, test of prototypes and small production batches of equipment, as well as fault-finding of electronics, and electromechanical devices. You will also support R&D and prototype manufacturing and be willing to learn new skills. This role comes with the opportunity to gain technical expertise and support clients remotely and on-site.
Electromechanical Technician Experience Required:
- Range of practical hand skills to enable build and modification of mechanical assemblies
- Troubleshooting mechanical systems that incorporate fluid power systems
- Assembling PCBs from scratch (SMT and through-hole) with ESD appreciation
- Creating wiring looms with small scale connectors (Molex / Harwin type)
- Component level testing of circuit boards
- Fault finding down to component level on PCBAs
- Use of multimeters and power supplies to aid in electrical fault finding
- Working in a dynamic environment on specialist projects
- Customer-facing support to resolve technical issues
Electromechanical Technician Skills & Qualifications:
- Worked to IPC standards (610 / 620 / J-STD)
- Technical ability and manual dexterity
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation with confidence to recommend changes where identified
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop across disciplines
- Ability to work independently as well as liaise with engineers to improve processes and diagrams
- Good communication skills and willingness to travel
Electromechanical Technician Hours & Benefits:
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week (flexi-time)
