The Quality Control Inspector Role:
Opportunity for a talented and motivated Quality Control Inspector to be part of the Quality Team to support business growth and specifically to ensure continued improvement throughout the company with special attention to the goods inwards and manufacturing areas by performing inspections and sampling procedures on incoming materials, parts and supply chain components used in the manufacture of miniature power transmission and control products. Document inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into the quality database.
Quality Control Inspector Duties & Responsibilities:
- As a contributing member of a customer orientated organisation, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of specific aspects of the quality control function. In particular:
- Carry out Inspections using various Metrology including CMM, against internal and customer requirements
- Being part of the investigation team when involved in product non-conformities and ensuring a timely resolution using 8D; including the supporting of implementing containments, root cause analysis, corrective action and verify that all actions have been implemented successfully and effectively
- Work closely with manufacturing to ensure that the quality expectations of the business are being met and documented
- Support other functions within the Quality department (Calibration, ISIR, Audits)
- Support the Head of Quality with continual improvement projects
- Flexible work attitude towards other tasks & duties
Quality Control Inspector Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience working in Quality within a manufacturing environment
- Electrical/electronic skills are advantageous
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement tools
