Quality Control Inspector Newbury Starting at £25,500 per annum Our well-established client is recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector on a permanent basis, in Newbury. Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities: * Inspect all types on incoming product in accordance with defined inspection criteria, for defects and ensure that all inspection findings are recorded including photographic record and ensure that they accurately reflect the full characteristics of the product received * Identify defects, record and report nonconforming product in ERP system and process such product in accordance with disposition instructions within the procedure * Ensure all product is appropriately located and stored and that the electronic stock locations are updated and maintained * Pick product in accordance with the daily priority list * To observe ESD precaution at all times when handling product * Develop and conduct checks to verify authenticity of electronic components * Assist with technical support with the quality department * Ensure tools and equipment are maintained adequately e.g. calibration * Collaborate in continuous improvement activities * Interpret and understand data sheets and technical documents Quality Control Inspector Key Aspect: * Computer literacy * Quality control experience would be an advantage * Experience within electronics (desirable) * Good written and verbal communication skills * Good written English * Attention to detail Quality Control Inspector Job: * Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 * Friday 08:30 – 16:30 Quality Control Inspector Benefits: * Pension scheme: the employee typically puts in 5% and the company will contribute 3% * Medicash * 25 days holiday plus bank holiday * This holiday allowance will increase after 8 years of service with another day added on from the 9th year for 5 years up to maximum of 30 days holiday * After 1 year we offer cycle to work scheme * Both pizza and breakfast are provided by the company once a month * Uniform provided Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
