We at Jackie Kerr Recruitment are recruiting for an enthusiastic Production Planner, for our long-standing client based in Bedlington! This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career, joining an extremely busy and growing company! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of production processes by planning production schedules, managing stock levels and optimising workflows. This role is responsible for generating production plans and working collaboratively with stakeholders to plan production that meets customer demands and supports internal KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop production schedules and co-ordinate production capacity planning
- Support contract review process and generate order acknowledgements based on production plan
- Collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, procurement and customer services to ensure seamless operations
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock levels to meet customer demands
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall productivity and reduce waste
- Support accurate and timely control of production data
- Actively contribute to achievement of department goals and performance targets
- Proactively identify and highlight critical schedule risks and support mitigation actions in a timely manner
- Awareness of the impact of planning on safety, quality and cost considerations
Requirements:
- Experience in production planning, especially in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of MRP / ERP
- Ability to trouble shoot and develop practical solutions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of business processes related to manufacturing operations
- Well-organised with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively
