The Production Planner will be responsible for overseeing the production scheduling process and ensuring that manufacturing and delivery deadlines are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. Coordinate with Sales, Design, Purchasing and Operations to align production activities with overall company goals.
- Communication: Facilitate clear communication between departments, including Purchasing, Operations and Sales, to synchronize activities and resolve issues.
- Review incoming orders and provide deliverable dates to the Sales Teams.
- Track Program/Product contracts and pricing of products.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential production bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Reporting: Generate and analyse production reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives aimed at improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in production planning or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in production planning software and MS Office Suite. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of production processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
