Our client, a rapidly growing engineering company based in Chesterfield, is seeking an experienced Plater Fabricator to join their dynamic team.
Plater Fabricator Roles and Responsibilities:
* Carrying out fabrication and development work on custom steel structures in a heavy engineering environment
* Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Building components and assemblies to a high standard of accuracy and quality
* Performing high-quality MIG welding
* Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping, and drilling plate and steel sections
* Operating a range of workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment
* Maintaining strict adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and site policies
Plater Fabricator Ideal Candidate:
* Experienced and confident in plating and fabrication
* Preferably time-served or apprentice-trained with relevant qualifications
* Skilled MIG welder with a strong eye for detail
* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Hands-on experience using fabrication machinery
* Background in heavy steel or structural steel industries
* Capable of working independently from drawings and seeing a project through from start to finish
Plater Fabricator Working Hours and Benefits:
* Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 16:30
* Overtime rate time and half
* Company pension
* Onsite parking
