SMT Operator Newbury £16.20 per hour We are looking for an experienced SMT Operator to join a busy and growing team.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for setting up and operating SMT equipment, supporting the production of high-quality PCB assemblies.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within an SMT environment and a good understanding of the full SMT assembly process.
SMT Operator Roles and
Responsibilities
- Loading and setting up feeders for production
- Setting up and loading PCBs for the production line
- Setting up and operating paste stencil equipment
- Creating and selecting programmes for production
- Loading stencils and setting up existing programmes
- Processing production jobs and cleaning stencils and associated tooling
- Setting up and operating SMT machines
- Creating machine programmes and carrying out job changeovers
- Running production jobs and ensuring machines are set up correctly
- Stripping down machines after production and returning components to kits in the correct order
- Operating the reflow oven to produce assembled PCBs
- Following work instructions and build documentation at all times
- Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the production process SMT Operator Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar SMT role
- Good knowledge of PCB-level SMT component assembly
- A basic understanding of PCB technologies
- Good knowledge of SMT assembly processes
- Experience reading and following work and build instructions
- Experience working to IPC-A-610 standards would be an advantage
- An understanding of Moisture Sensitivity Levels (MSL)
- Good IT skills, including experience using machine control and programming software
- The ability to learn new systems and software when required SMT Operator Working Hours and Benefits:
