Our client is recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join their growing team! They are leaders in their field and offer support to their customers from concept to commissioning.
Manual Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:
- Produce parts to tight tolerances, using engineering drawings as guides
- Carry out turning, boring, trepanning, roughing and finishing operations
- Working with Stainless Steel, alloys, brass, copper and plastics
- Working on standard sized manual lathe - be willing to learn to use larger machines such as Binns & Berry and Horizontal Borer
The Ideal Manual Machinist will:
- Ability to use large lathes
- Be able to perform turning, boring, trepanning, roughing & finishing operations
- Be able to read and work from engineering drawings
- Preferably be a time served apprentice with a couple of years post apprenticeship experience
- Be self-motivated and enthusiastic towards tasks
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
- Friday: 08:00 - 13:00
- 156 hours holiday, plus bank holidays
- Company Pension scheme
