We’re seeking a proactive, Junior Estimator to join the Purchasing Team. This role involves supporting sales through accurate job estimating, you’ll report directly to the UK Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts across the supply chain. Full training and support will be provided to help you build your skills and grow your career.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules to meet production plans
- Work closely with project managers, sales department, engineers to gather all necessary information for informed estimating
- Support negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
- Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Interest in developing a purchasing or estimating career
- Strong commitment to achieving deadlines
- Good maths, IT and communication skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Proactive, organised and eager to learn
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 16:30pm, Friday 8:30am to 16:00pm
- Flexible working hours
- Hybrid working once trained
