We are supporting our client to find a Junior Buyer to join their emerging family run electronics manufacturing business! This role involves supporting sales through accurate job estimating and procurement. You’ll report directly to the Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts across the supply chain.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules to meet production plans
- Support negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
- Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays
- Managing orders; Place and schedule parts in line with MRP requirements
- Ensure the MRP system accurately reflects stock dates, locations, and quantities
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within a similar role (desirable)
- Previous experience within Contracts Electronics Manufacturing (desirable)
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong commitment to achieving deadlines
- Strong maths and IT skills with the ability to use daily Word, Excel, MRP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Languages: Fluent English. Mandarin or Cantonese is desirable, but not essential
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Working hours: 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times
- Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing annually to a maximum of 30 days
- Enjoy a one month paid sabbatical after 6 years of service
