We are supporting our client to find a Customer Account Manager to join their emerging family run electronics manufacturing business! This is a varied role for a true relationship-builder who takes pride in nurturing their accounts, spotting opportunities to help our customers grow, and ensuring their experience is seamless.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of their business objectives. The aim is to provide a consultative service that goes beyond transactional account management and establishes you as a trusted business partner.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for customer projects. This role requires strong numerical skills, including the ability to calculate margins and mark-ups, ensuring solutions are commercially viable for the business while delivering value to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth by maintaining regular contact with customers, understanding their evolving needs, and recommending additional products or services that can add value to their operations.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for your customers, liaising closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure projects are delivered in line with customer expectations and agreed specifications.
  • Conduct occasional site visits with customers to strengthen relationships, gain a better understanding of their business operations, and identify opportunities for further collaboration.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience within Contracts Electronics Manufacturing (desirable).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships on the phone and in person.
  • IT Literate with competency with Excel (for pricing and margins).
  • Strong attention to detail.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Working hours: 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing annually to a maximum of 30 days.
  • Enjoy a one month paid sabbatical after 6 years of service.
  • Contributory pension scheme.
