We at JKR are supporting a fast growing and technical engineering company with their search for a skilled Project Manager to join their growing team!

Purpose: Take full ownership of projects from order intake through to final delivery. Ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and in line with customer specifications, while maintaining a clear overview of scope, planning, and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and alignment across all project phases. Act as the main point of contact for the customer, managing expectations, resolving challenges, and building strong, professional relationships.
  • Monitor progress, control costs, and ensure accurate project administration and reporting. Ensure that all deliverables meet contractual, technical, and industry standards.
  • Review all customer documents and specifications; identify deviations from standard procedures.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, define critical paths, align resource planning, and organise project-related meetings.
  • Communicate technical documentation requirements to relevant departments.
  • Ensure timely interpretation and distribution of engineering drawings.
  • Prepare and manage the Field Identification List (FIL), shipping matrix, packing lists, and labels.
  • Coordinate document control with internal and external parties.
  • Align project scope and execution with commercial targets and strategic goals and monthly budget reporting.
  • Monitor and control project budget; check and approve key invoices.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and material orders in the ERP system.
  • Plan and coordinate purchasing and logistics activities related to project scope.
  • Support financial administration: billing, receivables, and project-related claims.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project status in ERP.
  • Support coordination of field service, commissioning, and inspections.
  • Build and maintain a professional, service-oriented relationship with the client.
  • Prepare monthly and bi-weekly project status reports internal and/or external.
  • Follow up the full programme of progress reporting, progress forecasting, and close out internal and external.
  • Coordinate and request inspections (internal and external) as required by the customer or contract.
  • Verify compliance with legal, technical, and industry standards throughout execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and team-based quality initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and ERP systems (e.g. Epicor).
  • Experience in NEC4 or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes and technical environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Piping and Fabrication knowledge.

Working Hours:

  • 37.5 hours a week (flexible Working Hours).
  • Option of 2 days per week hybrid working.
