Our client is a leader in their field and is recruiting for an Engineering Technician to join their growing team!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment
- Participate in the introduction of new parts including equipment, tooling and procedures
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and lead continuous improvement activities
- Responding to line stops, taking the required actions to restart production in a timely manner
- Update and maintain manufacturing documentation, including operator instructions, inspection standards, etc.
- Assist in commissioning and validation of new equipment
- Assist in 8D investigations for either external or internal non-conformity
Ideal Candidate:
- Possess or be working towards HNC/HND in an engineering/science/technical discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience (desirable)
- A strong interest in mechanical, electronic or production engineering (desirable)
- IT skills (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
- Careful attention to detail
- Work effectively as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
- Keen to learn new skills
- Have a strong technical bias
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with our company values
