We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / TIG & MIG Welder to join a busy engineering environment. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and welding, who is confident working from drawings and producing high-quality work.
Sheet Metal Worker Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carry out TIG and MIG welding on a range of sheet metal components
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts to specification
- Use guillotines and brake presses to cut and form sheet metal
- Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Measure and check components to ensure accuracy
- Carry out general sheet metalwork and fabrication
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Sheet Metal Worker Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Strong TIG and MIG welding experience
- Experience using guillotines and brake presses
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking and keen to get stuck in
Sheet Metal Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
- 37.5 hours a week
