Our client is currently expanding and is looking for experienced Plant Fitters to join their growing team. This is a hybrid role, workshop based in Basingstoke with some field work being paid door to door when out on the road!
Workshop Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:
- Working on heavy machinery within the construction and concrete industry
- Provide service, maintenance and repair on heavy plant machinery
- Assist in root cause analysis of failures in the field to help improve the overall quality
- Develop and maintain outstanding technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of company products
- Promote the Company Brand with great customer service when working on machinery
- Provide outstanding telephone and face to face customer service
- Fill out accurate daily forms including service reports and timesheets
- Maintain accurate inventory of all tools and parts inventory on the company van
The Ideal Workshop Fitter Engineer Will:
- Have an engineering background working on construction plant, heavy machinery, agricultural machinery or recycling equipment
- Hold City & Guilds Part 2 & Part 3 in an engineering discipline
- Have NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline
- Hold a full UK driving license
- Be physically fit and able to lift up to 30 kgs
- Be comfortable working at heights
