Our client is recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to fully support the Quality Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance to company policies, system procedures, work instructions and specifications. Driving improvements, the Senior Quality Engineer will ensure the timely completion of 8D investigations and be the first point of contact for any quality escalations.
Senior Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely completion of 8Ds including the implementation of corrective actions
- Complete Gemba walks around site to support continuous improvement
- Support the upkeep of the Business Management System
- Be the first point of escalation for serious quality issues
- Be proficient in Quality standards and methodologies such as 8D’s, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP
- To carry out Internal & Supplier audits as required within the organisation
- Support Customer and Third‑Party Audits
- Support all internal departments with quality related matters
- Be fully conversant in reading engineering drawings
- Read and understand customer specifications/POs in order to support completion contract reviews
- Assist in maintaining and adhering to the organisations accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO9001 and all customer requirements
- To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility
The Ideal Senior Quality Engineer Skills & Experience
- Previous experience creating processes and procedures
- 8D completion including fishbone / 5 whys?
- AS9100 and ISO9001 experience
- Create and upkeep quality metrics
- Able to create ISIR / FAIR documentation
- Carried out internal audits
- Working knowledge of CMM equipment
- Problem resolution and Root Cause Analysis
