Our client is recruiting for a Quality Engineer who will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Department by managing Business Management Systems. This includes conducting audits of systems, assisting with third‑party audits, and writing and updating processes and procedures related to the BMS. The role also involves creating documentation to meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the upkeep of the Business Management System
- Create processes and procedures
- Create and support the upkeep of quality metrics
- Liaise with customers and suppliers in complaints handling
- Apply quality principles including problem resolution and root cause analysis
- Conduct internal and supplier audits as required within the organisation
- Support customer and third‑party audits
- Create ISIRs and FAIRs
- Support all internal departments with quality‑related matters
- Read and understand engineering drawings
- Read and understand customer specifications/POs for contract reviews
- Assist in maintaining and adhering to accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO9001, and all customer requirements
- Perform other duties that correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility
Ideal Skills & Experience
- Previous experience creating processes and procedures
- Experience creating and maintaining quality metrics
- Ability to create ISIR/FAIR documentation
- Experience carrying out internal audits
- Working knowledge of CMM equipment
- Problem resolution and root cause analysis skills
- Experience with AS9100 and ISO9001
