We are seeking a Sales and Purchasing Coordinator to support our client's Sales and Production teams in a combined quoting / costings and purchasing role in a specialist engineering environment. This will involve dealing with inbound technical enquiries from customers, formulating costings and quotations for engineered components, and managing client expectations through to delivery.
You will assist with the purchasing cycle, working with BOMs and works orders, raising and progressing POs while monitoring supplier lead times and pricing.
Experience Required:- 2-3 years’ in a combined quoting / costings and purchasing role
- Background in engineering
- Confident, daily ERP / MRP user
- Sales and purchasing cycles
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Documentation used in procurement and supply
- Knowledge of different classes of inventory
- Maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Good commercial awareness
- Microsoft Office skills essential – Word / Excel
- Data input into ERP system
- Strong organisational skills including attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Clear, confident communicator who can prioritise under pressure
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week (flexi-time)
