£16.50 per hour. Our award-winning client has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their specialist team which is ever-growing and progressing!

Field Service Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair vehicle dismantling and recycling equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Service air-operated and mechanical pumps
  • Work independently, with occasional team collaboration
  • Support workshop assembly, testing, production, and repairs as needed

Field Service Engineer Ideal Candidate:

  • Background as a Field Service Engineer, Mechanical/Plant Fitter, or Maintenance/Service Engineer
  • Strong mechanical experience with hydraulic and pumping machinery; experience with compressors and vehicle lifts is a plus
  • Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Confident with electrically powered machinery
  • Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Experience with stock management and job allocation
  • willing to travel nationwide with overnight stays
  • UK work authorisation, full driving licence required; forklift licence preferred
  • Physically fit for manual tasks; maintains an organised work environment
  • Detail-oriented, committed to quality workmanship, and tech-savvy with tablets/smartphones
  • Positive, personable, and professional approach

Field Service Engineer Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 17:30
  • Overtime at time and a half
