Job Description Senior Facilities Engineer We at JKR are recruiting a Senior Facilities Engineer for a forward-thinking electronics manufacturing company based in Tewkesbury! The Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all site facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and building services across the manufacturing environment. Senior Facilities Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day management and maintenance of all site facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems including electrical distribution, compressed air, extraction systems, HVAC, chilled water systems, effluent treatment, and process support equipment Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and ensure operational reliability across the facility Support the continuous improvement of site infrastructure, utilities efficiency, energy management, and environmental performance Manage reactive maintenance issues and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimise operational disruption Oversee contractor management processes including inductions, permits to work, RAMS reviews, supervision, and performance monitoring Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory inspections, maintenance certifications, and regulatory requirements including electrical testing, pressure systems, fire systems, lifting equipment, and environmental controls Support facility and infrastructure CAPEX projects including equipment installation, factory layout changes, utility upgrades, and process improvement initiatives Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Process Engineering, HSE, and Quality teams to support manufacturing requirements and business objectives Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, asset registers, and compliance logs Assist with emergency response planning and business continuity activities relating to utilities and infrastructure Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise maintenance spend Support audits relating to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance personnel and wider operational teams Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure work is completed safely, professionally, and within agreed standards Promote a strong safety-first culture across all facilities and engineering activities Senior Facilities Engineer Ideal Candidate: HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or Building Services Engineering Proven facilities engineering experience within manufacturing Experience managing contractors and compliance systems Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems Experience managing maintenance schedules and infrastructure projects IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification (desirable) Experience within PCB or electronics manufacturing (desirable) Project Management qualification (desirable) Senior Facilities Engineer Working Hours and Benefits: ~40 hours per week on a weekly alternating shift with overtime available ~ Quarterly profit-sharing bonus, 31 days' holiday including Bank Holidays ~ Pension - 3% employer 5% employee, Paid professional development ~ Discounts and savings portal, Wellbeing portal, Cycle to Work, Employee Assistance Programme and a Life Assurance policy Whether you are looking for permanent or temporary work we pride ourselves in understanding our candidate’s requirement’s to ensure that we place you in your ideal role.
