Are you an experienced electrical professional with a strong background in estimating and a proven track record within commercial and industrial projects?

We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator / Contracts Manager to join our established client in Swindon, where you’ll play a key role in preparing tenders, securing contracts and supporting the successful delivery of M&E projects across the South West.

Electrical Estimator / Contracts Manager Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare and submit electrical tenders, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Prepare and submit RFIs during the tender process, liaising with clients, consultants and design teams
  • Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and specialist subcontractors
  • Identify long-lead items and ensure these are considered within tender pricing
  • Measure elements of work and produce itemised Bills of Quantities where required
  • Finalise tender submissions and attend pre-order meetings
  • Assist with securing contracts before handing over packages to the M&E Contracts Managers
  • Liaise with clients regarding electrical project variations
  • Ensure variations are accurately recorded and instructed where required
  • Maintain accurate estimating records using company estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Estimating team to produce combined M&E quotations

Electrical Estimator / Contracts Manager Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience working as an Electrical Estimator ideally within a commercial or industrial environment
  • A strong understanding of electrical installations and project requirements
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Experience pricing tenders and obtaining subcontractor quotations
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to deadlines
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • CSCS – desirable
  • DBS – desirable, although this can be applied for
