Our client is a leader in their field and is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join their growing team!

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Instigating and leading longer term team projects.
  • Planning and executing the procurement, installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
  • Update/produce technical documentation such as operating instructions, inspection standards and PFMEAs.
  • Provide training and support to junior engineers.
  • Day to day support of production, troubleshooting issues with manufacturing equipment.
  • Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment.
  • Liaising with customers.
  • Support existing product lines and processes throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adopted, and health and safety legislation are adhered to.
  • On occasion, this role may require visits to customers or suppliers and may also involve foreign travel.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Familiarity with electronics and mechanical CAD design (desirable).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and statistical process techniques (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Mil standard and design for high reliability environments (desirable).
  • Degree/HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of die bonding and wire bonding in a microelectronic and/or hybrid manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Have a strong technical bias, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • A good level of competence with MS Office applications for documentation and presenting reports.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00am - 16:30pm.
  • Friday: 08:00am - 13:00pm.
  • 25 days annual leave plus a 'special day' equivalent to one day per year.
