Our client is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Mechanical Technician to join their growing Aircraft Seat Bay team.
Mechanical Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
- Inspect aircraft seats and diagnose repair requirements
- Disassemble, clean and prepare seat assemblies for repair
- Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements
- Reassemble aircraft seat sets to approved standards and deadlines
- Work in accordance with technical manuals and repair instructions
- Complete all work in compliance with Part 145 regulatory requirements
- Follow company procedures, quality standards and health & safety policies
- Maintain high standards of workshop housekeeping and organisation
- Accurately complete all required documentation and system records
- Contribute positively to team performance and continuous improvement initiatives
Mechanical Technician Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair experience
- Ability to interpret and follow technical documentation
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Team‑focused attitude with the ability to work independently when required
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in aircraft seating, trimming, upholstery, automotive manufacturing or similar industries
- Knowledge of commercial aerospace maintenance practices
- Engineering qualification such as BTEC, ONC, HNC, HND or equivalent
- Experience using maintenance software systems (or willingness to learn Aerotrac)
Mechanical Technician Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
