Our client is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join their specialist workshop team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft components within a fast-paced and quality-driven aerospace environment.
Mechanical Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose aircraft mechanical components
- Disassemble, clean and assess components for repair
- Carry out repairs and replace parts as required
- Reassemble components to approved standards and deadlines
- Work from technical manuals and engineering publications
- Ensure all work complies with Part 145 and company procedures
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
- Accurately complete all required documentation and system updates
- Contribute to a positive team environment and continuous improvement activities
Mechanical Technician Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within aerospace, automotive or manufacturing environments
- An understanding of engineering drawings and technical publications
- Knowledge of commercial aerospace practices (desirable)
- A recognised engineering qualification (BTEC, ONC, HNC/HND or similar) is advantageous but not essential
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- A proactive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Mechanical Technician Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
