Our well-established client is looking for a Mechanical Inspector who has excellent attention to detail to join their growing team!
Mechanical Inspector Roles and Responsibilities:
- First off, final and first article inspection of CNC milled prismatic components, CNC turned machined parts and fully assembled products to high aerospace quality standards.
- To ensure all products are inspected at planned stages preventing non-conforming product, to include 1st off, FAIR, Final view, pre-treatments, goods in / out.
- Dimensional and visual inspection of product at all required stages of manufacture.
- Raise Purchase Orders on subcontract suppliers.
- Raise NCR for non-conforming products in accordance with procedure, label and contain non-conforming parts.
- To ensure product nonconformity is communicated to the quality engineers and production in a timely manner.
- Complete FAIRs in accordance with the applicable procedure.
- Utilise customer quality process and software as required; E.g. Net Insp.
- Attain and comply with customer approved inspection requirements eg DSQR.
- Compile and approve certificates of conformity.
- Attend and input into RCCA 8D meetings as required.
The ideal Mechanical Inspector will:
- Have prior experience as a Quality Inspector.
- Experience working within an engineering workshop environment within the Aerospace industry.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Experience of using electronic and handheld measuring instruments.
Mechanical Inspector Benefits & Way of Working:
- Full Time, Permanent Position 8am – 5pm (Flexible working between Core hours) 39 hours a week.
- Overtime at pay and a half.
- 5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays.
- Pension Scheme.
- Sick Pay.
