Our client is looking for a Trainee Assembly Operator to join their busy production team. This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting different areas of the manufacturing process while providing the opportunity to develop a wide range of assembly skills and build a long-term career within the business.
Trainee Assembly Operator Roles and Responsibilities:
- Packing completed assemblies and preparing products for despatch
- Preparing components, including cropping and pre-forming components for selective soldering
- Populating PCBs ready for selective soldering processes
- Breaking PCBs out of panels using the appropriate tools and equipment
- Carrying out mechanical assembly, including fitting PCBs into housings
- Fitting cable assemblies and completing multi-stage box-build assembly
- Operating functional test processes and equipment to test PCBs and completed assemblies
- Following works instructions and established production procedures accurately
- Maintaining a high standard of quality throughout all assembly activities
- Keeping the work area clean, organised and maintained to a high standard
