Graduate Design Engineer in Malmesbury

We at Jackie Kerr Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity, for an enthusiastic individual to start a career within a growing engineering company!

This is a Design Engineer role and the ideal candidate could be a Graduate, someone who has completed an Engineering Apprenticeship, or someone with design / 3D modelling experience and looking for a long-term opportunity.

The successful candidate will be working in a team of 8 Design Engineers, working on a wide range of components, sub-assemblies and complete machines.

Graduate Design Engineer Role:

• Prepare detailed drawings, CAD models and BOMs for in-house manufacture
• Designing components and products based on in-house engineering briefs, reference to appropriate standards, and manufacturing capabilities
• Preparation of 3D drawings
• Filing in drawing management system
• Working with the production department to introduce improved methods e.g tooling, jigs etc via design
• Preparation of BOM to accompany each drawing generated
• Generating cost reports
• Taking responsibility for some specific design/production projects
• Participation in technical reviews
• Specifying and sourcing bought-in components

Graduate Design Engineer Ideal Candidate:

• Either a Graduate / Apprenticeship trained / early stage in Design career and looking to take on a new challenge
• Design / 3D modelling experience
• Prepared to visit customers when required
• Driving licence / own transport essential due to location

Graduate Design Engineer Working Hours / Benefits:

• Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 17:00, Friday – 08:00 – 16:00
