Our client based in Calne is seeking an experienced Machine Setter Operator to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a focus on precision engineering and continuous improvement.
Machine Setter Operator Roles and Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor machinery, including milling machines and tooling equipment, to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Assemble components accurately to specifications, using SolidWorks and CAD software for precise measurement and alignment.
- Perform regular machine inspections and carry out routine maintenance to keep equipment in top condition.
- Safely handle materials and follow all health and safety procedures during the production process.
- Identify and resolve operational issues using logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
- Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and management to enhance efficiency and maintain high standards of production.
Machine Setter Operator Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Setter, or similar role within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and understand control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, and Hurco.
- Proficient in reading CAD drawings and measurements; experience with OneCNC offline programming is a plus.
- Skilled in both milling and turning operations.
- Familiar with tooling processes and safe materials handling practices.

- Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
