Our client is currently expanding and is looking for experienced Heavy Plant Fitters to join their growing team. This is a hybrid role, workshop based in Basingstoke with some field work being paid door to door when out on the road!
Workshop Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:
- Working on heavy machinery within the construction concrete industry.
- Provide service, maintenance and repair on heavy plant machinery.
- Assist in root cause analysis of failures in the field to help improve the overall quality.
- Develop and maintain outstanding technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of company products.
- Promote the Company Brand with great customer service when working on machinery.
- Provide outstanding telephone and face-to-face customer service.
- Fill out accurate daily forms including service reports and timesheets.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all tools and parts inventory, and occasionally in company van.
The Ideal Workshop Fitter Engineer Will:
- Have an engineering background working on heavy plant machinery.
- Have 3-5 years experience in heavy plant and repair.
- Hold an NVQ in Plant / HGV / Agricultural (Desirable).
- Hold a full UK driving license.
