An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electronics Test Technician to join our client’s team in Devizes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on electronic and electromechanical assemblies to component level, often without full circuit diagrams or technical documentation.
  • Perform detailed repairs on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies, restoring units to full operational condition.
  • Confidently use soldering and rework equipment, working with both surface-mount and through-hole technologies.
  • Read and interpret circuit diagrams where available; where documentation is limited, analyse circuitry directly to determine function and faults.
  • Operate standard electronic test equipment competently, and adapt to additional or unfamiliar equipment as required.
  • Manage multiple repair tasks efficiently, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
  • Conduct thorough testing of repaired units to ensure reliability and performance standards are met.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of diagnostics, repairs carried out, and components used.

Ideal Candidate:

A relevant electronics qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.
