We at JKR are supporting a fast growing and technical engineering company with their search for a skilled Design Engineer to join their growing team!

Purpose: Supporting product designs by creating 3D models in Inventor and performing relevant calculations. Additionally, contributing to technical documentation for subcontractors and preparing specifications for essential purchased parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and using modelling software for various systems.
  • Liaising with sub-contractors for fabrication and creating welding / piping drawings.
  • Designing, detailing, and checking structural, mechanical, electrical, or piping components and assemblies in Inventor.
  • Contributing to the creation of accurate manufacturing and customer drawings for gas turbine auxiliary systems.
  • Ensuring the delivery of complete and accurate bills of materials in alignment with design drawings.
  • Performing calculations to support product design.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Reporting on progress and identifying bottlenecks in a timely manner.
  • Contributing to a structured work planning process based on deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ensuring accurate execution of designs and drawings within the agreed project schedule.
  • Responsible for collecting, monitoring, processing, and analysing data.
  • Reporting the data and making recommendations where necessary.
  • Occasional visits to customers for design and review, fabrication suppliers with Project Team, and customer sites.
  • Providing adequate advice, considering the laws and regulations and the relevant context of the respective country and entity.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
  • Hold Fabricating / piping knowledge.
  • Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., Inventor).
  • Must hold a strong understanding of drawings.
  • Be open to tasks that require additional training and actively working on broadening your knowledge.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Option of 2 days per week hybrid working.
