Job Description Technical Proposals Engineer Competitive Salary, Depending on Experience We at JKR are supporting our client recruit for a technically driven and commercially aware Technical Proposals Engineer to join their Product Solutions team in Cramlington. The Technical Proposals Engineer will support the Bid Leaders in developing competitive technical and commercial proposals for customers. You will translate customer specifications into practical engineering solutions, perform technical evaluations and calculations, and help ensure that every proposed solution is compliant, cost-effective, and fit for purpose. Technical Proposals Engineering Calculation and Design Initiate, perform, and/or follow up on project and non-project specific calculations Interpret customer specifications and develop suitable designs with the Engineering Manager & Bid Leaders during the offer stage Technical Proposals Engineer Sales and Proposal Support Maintain and distribute the PQCL (technical project checklist) for high-potential projects Support development of project cost estimates Technical Proposals Engineer Customer & Supplier Relations Technical Proposals Engineer Quality & Continuous Improvement Support adherence to industry standards, legal requirements, and company procedures Technical Proposals Engineer Ideal Candidate HNC/HND/FdEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering desirable Experience in engineering, applications engineering, manufacturing, proposal support or a related technical role Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
